About Your Farmers

Renee and Mark are high-school sweethearts and along with their daughter, Sellah, have dedicated their lives to caring for (a lot of!!) animals.

Renee’s first job out of college was a canine reproduction clinic. That’s right, she spent her days making puppies!

After a few years in reproduction, Renee transitioned into general mixed animal medicine at a top AAHA Accredited 24 hour Veterinary Hospital.

There, goats and cattle were her favorite patients and she knew, one day, she would have her own pasture full!

While Mark didn’t have any previous animal experience, he knew from the moment he met Renee that his future would be packed full of many!

Today Mark works in insurance by day and can be found working around the Farm evenings and weekends. There are always projects to be done and he is truly the backbone of the Farm.

Woods Family Farm is a first generation Farm nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at just under 8,000 feet in beautiful Colorado.

The home of ADGA Nigerian Dwarf Goats, VBSS Valais Blacknose Sheep, AMJA Miniature Jersey Cattle, a few essential equines, and various poultry (chickens, ducks, and geese - oh my!).

At Woods Family Farm you’ll also find a working team of incredible livestock guardian dogs (LGDs) who work 24/7/365 to keep their charges safe from predators. They are the single most important part of the Farm!

These purposefully bred dogs are happiest doing the job they were bred to do and it sure shows!
